This is a recent discovery for me. Does anyone remember Modesty Blaise? I believe the original comic strips appeared in the Evening Standard from the 1960s through to the 1990s. The stories are well written by Peter O’Donnell and illustrated by a variety of artists. Modesty is a larger than life figure, a woman of action, and I understand that Peter O’Donnell wrote around a dozen novels to accompany the comic strips, though I haven’t read them yet. Does anyone have any thoughts on this series?
